A wonderful rare Howard and Sons ‘Louis XV’ model Sofa with original down-filled seat, arm and integral back cushions, on elegant carved mahogany French style legs with original gilt highlights. Upholstered in old silk damask and the seat cushions now in vibrant lime green velvet

Stamped ‘Howard and Sons Ltd Berners St’ and retaining a partial original Howard label underneath. This would have been an extremely expensive sofa to custom order from Howard, those models with carved legs and frames being substantially more expensive than those with plain turned and square legs. Scarce as a result. Supremely soft and comfortable.
